It’s like TV on the web only better because its focus is on people and upcoming events in Victoria. Produced by Kirk Schwartz and Cat Lewis of MediaNet in partnership with the Victoria Events Center and the Community Arts Council. The focus is on artist interviews, live performance and upcoming events.

This is our inaugural event which will be live streamed to the internet and live to the audience at the VEC. So far guests include Missy Peters, Justin Love, Connie Cooke, Peter Sandmark, Bob Williams and more! You’ll get a taste of “An Improvised Tennessee Williams”, modern dance by the Victoria School of Contemporary Dance, spokenword performance —- all while enjoying a beverage and the company of your friends and contemporaries live at the VEC

We are doing  a dry run this Sunday for Vic Arts LiveStream , setting up all the equipment and making sure it works.

I will start in the morning in the foyer just outside medianet and will hook up cameras and audio. Please come by and get familiar with the gear and the set up. For those who want to see how the whole set up works come in around 10.  Cat will be here around 1 to do a couple of off the cuff interviews. So I hope to see as many of you  who are involved in the tech aspects as possible

For those of you interested in research and the journalism end of the Vic Arts Livestream we have scheduled a story meeting for Wed May 25th at 1pm. We will discuss guests for the upcoming vic arts live and who and how to contact them and what story we are telling in the interviews.
